[JAPAN's Health Industry] The health-care equipment market: conditioning-related products drew people’s attention

The health-care equipment market, including fitness and training-related products performed well in sales in 2018. According to the White Paper on Leisure, the sales of training wear and sports shoes increased in the last five years, and the sales of fitness clubs were the best in the past.

The health-consciousness of the Japanese and their daily active working out habits are expected to increase. Sports, fitness and training-related business materials are also expected to rise even more.

On the other hand, products related to physical and psychological recovery and maintenance as well as of mindfulness are expected to draw people’s attention in 2019.

In fact, Japanese people are becoming more mindful even of the term “conditioning” itself.
